Now, to other matters, today is also the shopping basket feature day, meaning that we are taking a look at the prices of different items in Thika supermarkets. In other editions of this feature, we have seen wide variations in the prices offered by different supermarkets. This week, we want to see if these differences still exist or are the supermarkets offering similar prices!!The table below gives you a picture of what am talking about:

This week the price difference is not as huge as we have seen in previous weeks. Here is the list of supermarkets from the cheapest to the most expensive
1. Leens
2. Kassmatt
3.Tuskys
4.Mathai
5. Maguna Andu
Seems like Leens is the cheapest supermarket in Thika as of now. It is nice to see that different choices of products yield different results. First week, Kassmatt was cheapest while second week, Tuskys came in first. In a healthy market environment, such changes are common thus allowing the consumer to make an informed decision on where to shop.
Happy Shopping!!NB: All prices are in Ksh
The prices indicated here are as of 31/07/2012 at 5.00 p.m
leens mara that!
